Your Wildest Dreams by Meghan Kemp-Gee

They’re all coming true. They’re all writing down
notes during your deposition. They’re all
riding the Expo Line and inventing new
ways of Staying Sexy After Thirty.
They’re all shaving the hair on their arms and
bleaching the coffee stains out of their teeth.
They’re deadlifting two hundred pounds and they’re
flirting with men who weigh two hundred pounds.
They’re talking at a bar and they’re still
looking the men in the eye but they’re also
watching themselves in the mirror behind
the bar and they’re seeing themselves through two
sets of eyes. They’re finding you guilty of
every thought you had when you were barely
sleeping and they’re all on record now that
they’re all written down. They’re all coming true.
