Put away by Darren J Beaney

Stare square at the storm
rolling in, surprisingly
sedate for lumberjack weather.
Thick maple syrup skies
offer low resistance
to scuffed knuckle clouds, hanging
lank. Burly rain thumps filthy
and fierce, cuts effortlessly,
bruising the panorama. The horizon
tumbles, shivers,
void of fantasy, macho imagination
put away.
Somehow Darren J Beaney has managed to have poems published in 17 different anthologies and journals… He has also had two pamphlets published by The Hedgehog Poetry Press, details of all this can be found on his website - www.djbeaney.com T: @DJ_Be_An
