one not about what it's really about & one that is by Sean Selbach

i've been eating a lot of cereal after midnight.
i guess in the morning it's after midnight cereal, too.
when does it stop being after midnight & start
being before midnight. when does it become before
midnight & will it make a difference to anyone
if we figure it out. is figuring it out just going to be
we made it all up to begin with. made it all up
to begin with something instead of nothing. which
is nothing & motion & eating cereal whenever
& when does it stop being after midnight & start
being before & when will you be home, again.
it feels like forever since you've been home, again.
nothing that feels like forever ever actually
has been. when do you stop counting & say forever.
it's always afterward if you find the right moment.
when will you be back & then when will you
be back, again & if you leave before midnight
becomes morning, were you ever here at all.
