I still have all these sea shells in my pockets,
like the ocean signed my yearbook and told me to have a good
everything. Everything is flat here, the stairs never hurt because
my knees aren’t real. Just cartoon expressions of surprise
that end in five seconds, hearts flying from my forehead,
I never need anything for the pain, just pine cones
for my front door.
