Fresh Air by Shiksha Dheda

Your hefty hair
-a burden to convention.
Your baggy indigo jeans
sink below the standards of good looks..
Your unaware disposition, misplaced
speech make you appear
anachronous, but to me
-to me, you appear
as simply as the first spring does
-to revive the wilting yellow
flowers of winter
