Emergency Exit by Jane Ayres

seeing the danger when it’s too late i
wrap myself around the warped edges
your presence your presents
leave fingerprints
knucklebone thick
crisping the ovulation
look
what
you made me
do
this time i walk away
the serrated blade
still warm
saving my scrambled eggs
