an ode to glitter and stardust by Dane Lyn

Mr. Stardust and I have a mutual
love
we have a mutual love of
of copolymer sheets ground down to minuscule hexagons,
certainly not as glamorous as crushed
diamonds,
but now available in an epic array of application methods.
a way to freak out in a moonage
daydream.
glints and gleams with glimpses of
faraway starmen.
my marrow does a dreamlike
disco,
heady intoxication lacking
propriety.
much like Bowie when he becomes
becomes the human manifestation of an
alien,
I fancy it applied to my skin,
and we shimmer
and we shimmer
and we shimmer
and radiate bisexual jubilance
my departed Ziggy and I.
